What is 925 Silver
925 silver, as its name suggests, is made with 92.5% silver (extracted from a silver ore) and 7.5% other metals, usually copper. 925 silver is commonly known as “Sterling Silver”. Silver is a naturally soft and malleable metal, therefore is impractical to be made into sophisticated shapes in its purest form. The addition of copper makes silver harder and easier to shape, which is more suitable for jewellery making.
